Dolly Track & Greta Beach
8.00am Cooked breakfast served around the pool at The Sunset.
Enjoy a relaxed morning in your room, or by the pool. Recharge ready for your next adventures.
11.45 A picnic lunch will be served at the pool area.
12.30pm In the afternoon we take a scenic jungle drive along the Dolly Beach Track. See majestic banyan trees, shaded jungle and the odd Robber crab. We wont actually head to Dolly Beach as this is a significant walk. We’ll then pop into Greta Beach – this is a short walk from the carpark (200m) and you can view the beach from the top of the platform. If the group is adventurous, a steep staircase deposits you onto a large rock, which you can then step down onto the beach. This beach is a significant turtle nesting area, but greatly impacted by the plastic rubbish that drifts ashore. We endeavour to collect some of this rubbish and remove it from the area – every little bit helps!
Terrain is flat and shaded – but can be uneven and slippery. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and good walking shoes. You’ll need hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, camera & water bottle.
15.30 Return to hotel
16.30 We transfer to the Rumah Tinggi Tavern for afternoon drinks and nibbles (drinks at own cost – nibbles included).
18:00 Dinner – Golden Bosun Tavern – we’ll pre-order dinner. Drinks available for purchase from the bar.
